Disabling Screen Lock PIN

Ever since I updated to froyo, I have been forced to enter a 5 digit PIN or password to unlock the phone.

In the settings, I can NOT use a pattern or use NO LOCK, it is grayed out and says: "Disabled by remote Administator".

I have read that this is because I am connected to my works Exchange Email Server. Although it is a good idea, I like this feature, I wish I could temporarily turn it off. It is extremely annoying to try to hold a text conversation, having to constantly unlock the phone.

I've tried apps like No Lock and No Lock Screen. They did not work. I want to be able to turn off the screen so I don't butt dial anyone, but I want to be able to turn it back on without entering a password.

Anyone have a solution?

I think you are out of luck. It sounds like your IT admin has a global policy set and that will be the only way to remove it. Although someone might know a way around it if you are rooted. But hacking the lock policy might get you in trouble if your work finds out.
