Disabling the Lockscreen, but keeping the Pattern Screen Lock?

HTC Rezound, rooted with SlimRom ICS installed.

I have a pattern "screen lock" set on my phone. This is different from the slide-to-unlock "lockscreen" that everyone encounters on their phones. If I have a patterned screen lock, I fail to see the need for an extra repetative step with the lock screen. How do I get rid of it altogether but keep the pattern lock? When I hit the power button, I want only the pattern screen lock.

Apps like No Lock are not accomplishing this.

I also have a problem that when I get a phone call, it will ring but to answer it or to see who is even calling me I have to slide-to-unlock and then input the pattern to unlock it, then it will show me. By then I've missed the phone call! This is idiotic to me.

That's got to be a rom issue, just tried it on my SGS2 root w/ AOKP and it works like it should. If I select slide to unlock then it just does that, not both. Are you running widgetlocker?

That's ODD. If you select Pattern lock, there shouldn't be any slide lock anymore. Probably a ROM issue? This only happens when you have an additional lockscreen like Widgetlocker or Go Locker apart from the default lockscreen.

If it still is of interest: I found a workaround with mentioned "GO locker" in combination with "No Lock":

* Install "No Lock" and disable SENSE lockscreen (and Pattern) altogether
* Install "GO Locker" and activate Pattern Lock.

Works for me. The Pattern Screen is actualy quite like the Sense Pattern :)

Cheers!

Great!
So what you're essentially doing is using the pattern lock through the launcher instead of through the OS directly?

I've got a few other problems with this ROM anyway, and plan on switching to more popular and supported ROM.

I don't know for sure, but Go Locker might work without Go Launcher as well... didn't test it, though...

I figured after a little fiddling one can even skip the "No Lock" step, you don't need it! Make sure "Go Locker" is listed and activ in the administrator's menu (Sense Settings->Security->Administrators)
