Help Disappearing widgets on reboot

i've downloaded some apps which have widgets, when installed they appear in the widget list to add to home screen. they stay there for a while, but after i have re-started the phone, they will have disappeared from this list leaving only the standard ones there. the apps were installed on sd card, but initially was able to add the widget, after moving app back to phone it is still not possible to add the widget to the homescreen. any ideas? thanks

Move to phone and keep there. Reboot and should be able to add. D ot move back to SD

A known effect when apps with widgets are placed on SD card.

You have to place it on the phone storage.

thanks, i added the app back to the phone but did not reboot, after re-booting it appeared, thanks

and can't believe i didn't try turning it off and back on again
