Discovered Android today

Hi, I have used the iPhone for a couple of years and didn't think it could be rivaled- until I got myself an HTC running Android today. The level of customisation is astounding, and the sheer beauty of the system is fabulous!
Ive spent the day downloading the apps I will use most and in the process found some unattractive features (capacity and battery life) which I assume are device specific. I have many questions but I'm enjoying researching it while I go.
Anyway, heres a hi and thanks for a great community.

Welcome to the Android forums. I've found that the battery life thing can be a little worse at 1st when you get the phone because thats when you're using it a lot (its a new toy!), so hopefully once you get into your regular routine it'll help a bit. There's also a good bit of battery saving tips and advice in the forums.
