Dislike my Samsung Fascinate..Other options?

The screen on the Droid pro is so small.
I wouldn't be satisfied moving to a smaller device. If you like the screen size of the Incredible and you prefer to have a physical keyboard, then you should look at the Droid 2 global.

After months of issues with original droid, I 'upgraded' to the Fascinate in November. Before even going into the store, I went online to compare to the Droid X... getting pros and cons of each. Read through the various forums of people who actually used both phones for trial periods and the fascinate seemed to come out on top. I went in to the store and the salesperson also had both phones... really pushed the Fascinate, which I was leaning towards.
This phone drives me crazy!!!
My phone freezes a lot; when I am in the middle of dialing or in the middle of a call, the screen will blackout; several times in the last few weeks when I am texting, all of a sudden the words I am typing stop showing up in the text window (if I back out of the application, the text saves as a draft, and I go back to it... all the words are there, but that is time consuming); checking email or going to the browser is SLOW and laggy or I get a 'connection error' message. When I went into the store last week, the salesperson told me the reason the phone is laggy on internet connection is because so many people in our area have smart phones and are connecting to the internet at the same time. His example? It's like 500 people trying to get through one doorway.
This phone is not rooted. I did have Advanced Task Killer (at recommendation of Verizon's salespeople), but after reading the previous threads I just deleted in the hopes that it will help with battery life. Anyway... just my two cents... any recommendations from you guys will be much appreciated!!

since you just got rid of your task killer... do a battery pull. let the phone reset it self. if that dont help.

do a hard reset.. you will loose all apps and data on the phone (not sd card). start over from fresh.. and dont load all the apps back.
load apps.. one at a time as needed. maybe you have a bad app that is causing your issue.

So after dropping the task killer, the phone was working fine... nothing fabulous, but okay. I have pulled the battery a few times, but didn't read last post about hard reset until today.
Last night while one of my kids was playing a game on the phone, it died. This was a fully charged battery, and all of a sudden it would not work, would not charge in the car or anything. I take it in the house and connect to the wall charger, but I still couldn't turn it on. I let it sit there for a fifteen minutes or so, and finally it powers up. Sweet.
Took it to work with me this morning (again, full battery), and when I went to use it... nothing.
Did I fry my battery?
Is my SD card messed up? I read up through some forums that the SD card could be giving me all the problems. (I am pretty sure it is the same card that I was transferring through the original Droid back in the fall).
HELP!!!

Sounds like you got a bad battery out-of-the-box here. I'd try and get the battery swapped out at a VZW store. They should have them on hand.
