Display developed an annoying habit

The lower half, for lack of a better term, jitters constantly. This blurs whatever is rendered therein. Text is unreadable. I've never dropped it on anything harder than carpeting, in fact, it seldom leaves the house during the ~2 years I've owned it. It's never been wet.

I've done everything I can think of short of a factory reset, including booting into safe mode, flushing the cache, followed by booting into recovery and wiping the cache partition. None of this helped.

I'm open to suggestions.

well there is no setting that can fix something like this. if rebooting does not help, then the only thing you can do is hard reset the device to fix a software issue....or....it might be a hardware issue in which you will need to either replace the device or get it looked at by a professional.

I'd back up your data if I were you.

There's a chance that a reset will fix this, but I think it more likely than not that this is hardware.
