Help Display goes out on maps

StuDaddy

Newbie
Hi, another newbie question: when I'm driving the metro area I have Google Maps on with traffic overlay. Suddenly it goes out and I'm at the lock screen. I tried adjusting the screen timeout but the longest it'll give is 10 minutes. I know I can't be the only one with this issue but all my searches for this topic haven't gotten any hits.

Thanks for your help

I use the app Screebl Lite, it keeps your backlight on using the orientation of the device. You can then set your backlight back down to 15 seconds and the backlight will stay on as long as you don't lay the device down flat.

you probably don't need it, and it'll consume more battery, but what about just setting it to navigate somewhere close to your destination? traffic should still show up and the screen will stay on.

I use KeepScreen. Allows you to choose which apps keep the screen from timing out when in use.

I use the maps to choose from 2-3 alternate routes usually just a few miles apart but can literally mean 1/2 an hour depending on where the traffic is. I'll try one of those apps. Thanks everyone
