Help Display problem... Stripes on the screen?

Hello everyone,

I want to ask you about a problem I have with my phone. I recently saw a stripes on the screen with kind of different color/brightness. They are not very visible but really annoying! They appear everywhere. So does it mean that I have to buy a new screen for $269?

I have attached a picture which I took with a camera but it's not very visible so I made another one with the Photoshop so it can be clearer what the problem is like.

Do the stripes move with the screen when it rotates or are they always in the same spot? If the never move, I'd have to think it's a bad LCD panel. If it's still under warranty, they should replace it for free.

Thanks for the reply. No, they don't move when I rotate it. Fixed position all the time.

It's not under warranty. How much would it cost to buy a new LCD panel?

From what I can see, the display on the S3 comes as a unit with the LCD, digitizer and some electrics all together and they can cost upwards of $300 US. A few online instructions i found say you can pick them up on eBay for as little as $120 US.

You might still want to contact Samsung about it. If they had a bad lot of LCD's they may still replace it for you.

Why do you think you don't have a warranty? All S3 have 1 year for warranty.
