DivX support?

I'm pretty sure it would since every S-class Samsung phone has had it supported, including the Epic 4G and all the other U.S. variants and so does the S2, so I doubt they wouldn't support it.

Are you sure? My Nexus S 4G doesn't play divx. Neither does my friend's Epic.

Well I won't know about my friend's Epic until I get a chance to try some more videos on it but my Nexus S 4g definitely will not play divx.

Sorry I forgot about the OP's question. When I had the Photon it play just about anything I threw at it with the exception of MP4 encoded in high profile and RMVB. 1080p in MKV, MP4 (non high profile), or AVI all plays fine. I would assume the Samsung Galaxy II would be more than capable player too as the specs are equally impressive. The reviews on the international GSM version shows that they can play any format so it is pretty safe to say that it can play avi/divx.

I can understand the Nexus S not playing Divx files, since that's stock Android and the codecs weren't loaded, but check your friend's Epic again. It's certified for Divx HD.

I read somewhere that task killers will screw up playback.
