Djarn : New to Android

I'm new to Android, I haven't owned an Android phone yet, but I'm keen for my next phone to be one.

I am getting a new Android Tablet soon though, the thing is it's Android 2.2 and I want it to be an Android 3.0 at least.

I don't like the fact that you have to wait and see if the manufacturer has an update, so I am on here to find out the process of creating the update myself, I would appreciate the procedure in Layman's terms. ( I have C and php experience ), so that's the reason I have joined.

I'm looking forward to being part of the Android community and helping the OS crush apples products.

It would help if we know the exact make and model of the tablet. It's not as easy as just picking a generic rom and installing it.

that's the issue, it's a no-name brand tablet made in China sort of thing, I am eager to upgrade mone, as well as learn to create OS upgrades for other OS's?
