Do Google Services always use so much bandwidth?

I've only had my Galaxy Nexus 2 days and I'm shocked that Google Services has already taken 13Mb. This is almost as much as my old Palm Pre used in one month. So I'm wondering is this just the initial sync and subsequent days will use less? Thanks

I don't know how you're attributing that specific amount of data to Google services, but I can tell you that my primary interactive Internet use is Gmail and Google Reader, along with some web browsing, and I average less than 10MB per day on mobile data, using Wifi when at home.

Yup, the first couple of days of activation usually runs higher than normal on the data front because all of the syncing (gmail, contacts etc.) that occurs during that time. It should go back to normal in a week or two then you can judge how high your data usage is.

If the data usage is still high, then you might want to consider disabling some of the auto syncing google apps in your settings.
