Root Do I have the 8gb Internal Memory?

zcferree

Newbie
When I go to the storage settings, it says that I have a 1.86gb (2gb) sd card, and only 649MB available on my internal phone storage. Do I have a different version or something? I was told that the Incredibles have 8gb of internal phone storage.

Thanks

Settings>SD card & phone storage>Under Internal phone storage it says Available Space 649MB. This not right?

Under that same setting it should say
(SD Card)
Total space:
depends on your card
Available space:
depends on your card
(Internal Phone Storage)
Total space:
6.60GB
Available space:
Whatever you have left
(Phone Memory)
Total space:
748MB
Available space:
Whatever you have left

Yes, no where does it say total space 6.60 gb

All incredibles have the internal "8 gb" storage. It's 2 lines above where you are reading. NOT where it says "phone memory". That's for apps. Says "internal phone storage".

Ps...are you running a custom rom?

Yes I am, running cyanogen so that might be why I'm seeing differently.

Here is EXACTLY what I see once again...

SD Card

Total Space
1.86gb
Available Space
1.57gb
Unmount SD Card
Format SD Card
Internal phone storage
Available space
627MB

That rom can not really see the internal storage. Same is true for all aosp roms. You can still acces using a file manager but you might have problems writing or copying from it.
There might be a way to partition the storage or trick the rom and apps to properly use it, but haven't looked into it much.

Bottom line is, you have the 8 GB, but the rom you are using can not see it. It's a flaw in the rom, the developer is still working on fixing it.
