my first is on 4.1.2 and HTC is saying they dont know when any updates are coming out if i root my phone can i updat to 4.3 or even 4.4 is it even worth doing.

depends on what you wanna do, or if you wanna stay up to date. personally, I don't feel the need to upgrade to 4.4 as of yet. As far as rooting goes, if your feel ok with playing around with you phone in ways that can break it to do cool things that your carrier and/or manufacturer dont really want you doing, then by all means, root it.
