Root Do need to root an unlocked Tattoo phone

I have an absolutely unlocked Android phone.
(Only relation to provider is SIM)

Do I still need to root it?

Are instructions much the same?

(I want to use Droid Explorer and similar software that is said to need a "rooted phone")

Hi there, the answer is yes if you want to use apps that need root. Head over to XDA forums and where you will find Universal Androot for your Tattoo, i rooted mine with no problem at all. Good Luck and let us know how you get on.
