Help Do Not Update Your Galaxy S 3!

Ever since I updated my S 3 to the latest 4.0.4, I am unable to change my apps in the favourites dock at the bottom of the phone screen.

I contacted Samsung Australia and a technician advised me that it is not possible to change the dock anymore with the latest update - he said I would have to reset my phone in order to change the dock apps.

This has really p****d me off. I can only gather that this is a mistake made with the update. Also, I am not sure if it a TouchWiz error or an Android stuff up.

Anyone else with this problem?

Thanks,

ba

I'm in the UK and my S3 is running 4.0.4 I can still change the Apps around no problem. Maybe you could try a reboot?

Doesn't make much sense. You could just ditch Touchwiz like most of us already did and use another launcher (Nova, Go launcher, Apex, etc).

Then you can set it up just the way you like it.

He told me there was a second update with 4.0.4 - this is the one that doesn't work properly.

My phone updated a few weeks ago.

Can you change the dock apps though?

I tried GoLauncher, but like TouchWiz best. also, I don't want to install bloat ware onto my phone.

Thanks anyway,

I am in the UK got an unlocked one on Monday. Once turned on did a large update to 4.0.4, no problems noted . Have changed some of the bottom dock apps several times as I get the phone to my liking, do a hard reset and start again.

Well, I'm lost then

And in relation to bloatware, I believe GoLauncher etc slow down the phone a little, as they are running over TouchWiz.
