Do players next to you see the same Pokemon?

I captured one as a friend was looking at what might have been the same one, and his disappeared. Do we see the same ones?

Pretty much. Different levels can see different pokemon, so sometimes you might see something different, but most of the time you'll see the same things.

No, not always not even most of the time. I went out with my 2 nephews. We did sometimes see the same ones but that was just the most common ones. I am a higher level but they are the same level. This is just my experience though.
