Looks like you been finding the same info i been reading.
With no S-off easily available it looks like we have drawn a shorts straw with this phone.

Unfortunately, it looks like you might not even get 4.2 or 4.3 if you're on a carrier branded phone... I don't think AT&T has even pushed out 4.2 and sense 5 to devices. I'm running a 4.2 and sense 5 custom ROM on mine and it makes me really sad that not everyone is gonna get it; I think it's a huge improvement over 4.1 and sense 4+, especially in terms of battery life.

The exact reason I am not replacing my HOX with another HTC phone, time to ditch them I think and look elsewhere..
