Do You Like The Razr

I'm just going to chime in here, because your post is very confusing to me, Appleuser. Almost every issue you have could be corrected (although that isn't the right word, because most are PREFERENCES...) with a different app or different settings within said apps. I don't really know why you would buy a phone that was "too wide" to begin with, but that is neither here nor there. As is complaining about the price of Verizon's service.

There are a few issues you spoke of that are legitimate, but if they were a big deal, again, why did you still buy the phone? I'm not attacking you here, I'm really curious to what your reasoning for buying a phone you don't like is???

To speak to the op.... I really do enjoy my razr. I wish that they had released the maxx as I can burn through a charge in about 6 hrs with pretty steady use. If I leave it in my pocket, it'll last upwards of 14 hours....

Thank you for replying. I never purchased this phone. I just tried it in the store. It took less than a half hour to compare it to two other phones.

So do you take a checklist with you whenever you shop for new toys? I'm not asking sarcastically either. I genuinely would like to know. I just bought two RAZRs instead of the Galaxy Nexus and made my decision based on multiple trips to the store and watching alot of reviews. I just don't see how you can make a general conclusion in only a half hour.

FYI I wanted to point out a flaw in ApplUser's method. He wasn't looking at the phone stock. He was looking at a demo, that has been played with by countless other people, who change settings, install apps, change the launcher (I believe he's describing a feature of a 3rd party launcher). You want to keep an eye out for what features have been changed from stock, AND what you can change once you have the phone.

I just got my RAZR and its pretty much set up. Loving it. The screen is awesome. Can someone tell me how to actually turn off 4G? I've looked all over and can't seem to find the option.

Menu>settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks>network mode>cdma only ;)

I unplug mine at 7am and it's in the red by 6pm (or earlier).

I use it maybe 15 mins at lunch (constant) playing games or reading, but otherwise, don't touch it during the entire work day. That doesn't mean I'm not getting email/texts/etc though. So that could be draining the battery. If I stick with the Razr, I'll need to upgrade it to a Maxx.

Oh, I also use Wifi at home and at work. I don't use BT in the car ride. I don't switch to 3g. I keep my screen brightness very low. Not sure why mine isn't lasting as long as others, but not lasting through work isn't good enough for me.

Good luck.

TRUE ! i spent around three weeks on researching the models and mutiple trips to mutliple outlets...irritated almost all my android high end phone users with constant questions and finally settled for razr (even tho Iam gonna be in debt for one whole year -- Totally worth every penny of the debt !)...
RAZR is the best......THE BEST !:D:D:D:D

There is also a 4g ap you can download from market; it is more or less just a short cut to that setting but still it might be more convenient if you toggle a lot. I mostly leave lte off due to the battery.

Well, Either way, but I think it's good to know where your settings are within the menus. Widgets are nice, but I like to know the proper path to change settings myself. :p

The widget is more for my wife. She's used to using a smaller screen and no 4g. She's gonna crap when her phone dies at noon...lol

So far I'm loving this phone. Not having Sense kinda takes me back to having CM7 on my Sprint Hero. It's been a good change to say the least. The build quality and form factor are also very awesome. I could go on and on but need to get back to work so I can keep paying for this thing...lol

Edit... OK so I've just had my first lengthy conversation and I don't know if it was the other person holding their microphone away from their mouth, but the volume seemed kinda low even on max volume. Is it like this for other users or do I maybe have a defective speaker?

Mavrik, again, I have bad hearing and my volume is turned about halfway down. I think you may have an issue between the speaker and bluetooth volume that you posted about in the other thread.
