I sincerely doubt it, Sprint would roll it out first and considering that they haven't pushed ICS to the 3D yet. Plus with the economic positions of both Sprint and HTC I just don't see how it would make any sense. Oh I just made a joke, sense haha...
One could hope, but as Overbyter said, it's doubtful. We'll be better off with the version the Devs put out anyway. No bloat and for those of us that are rooted/running custom ROMs, no need to flash back to stock blah, blah, yadda, yadda.
Were won't get it, and not for the reasons mentioned, but because of age.
By the time they would get around to it, the Evo 3d will be two years old and be end of life'd. The Evo V will be one year old, and Virgin won't pay for the upgrade, especially since it won't be much longer Atty that point that they can offer you a new LTE phone.
Both Virgin and HTC would rather sell you a new phone than upgrade an older one. It is even theorized that the only reason Sprint users are getting ICS is because of Virgin.
Honestly we probably won't get the update - I could see Virgin Mobile rolling out a new 4g phone with Jelly Bean pre-installed before they update the Evo.
