Do you use a hard case or gel case?

I have a hard case.... which is of the disney Tangled theme

I have both hard and gel cases (though not the really chunky protective ones), and change which I use every now and then.

I use a gel case, mainly for the grip.

Not sure if mine would be considered gel or hard. I use the cheapy TPU variety specifically this one:

I've used them for the past several years, Atrix, Atrix 2, Atrix HD, Moto X 2013 and now my Nexus 6. I can testify as to their protective capabilities in that I was working in my basement a few years back, had my 2013 Moto X jimmy rigged in the rafters of the ceiling with the light on while I fixed a plumbing hanger. Of course it fell, some 8 feet to the cement floor below. It bounced 2 or 3 times landed face down, and lived to tell the tale. Nary a scratch on it. I have also dropped my N6 once or twice while getting into or out of my car and had it skip along on the ground with no negative effects. They really work well and do not add heft to an already sizable phone.

I use both, i have a lot in my drawer and i change cases twice or thrice a week.
