Dock trigger question for those who bought the dock

If you bought the multimedia dock, would you please mind doing a quick test? I ordered the dock but ATT screwed up my order so I just got the phone. Now that I see the dock cheaper, I'll just get it elsewhere.

Anyway, please do the following test:

Disconnect the dock from power and have no USB devices connected but have the HDMI connected to a TV or monitor. Place the Atrix in the Dock and tell me if you get the Webtop option.

Basically I am trying to figure out the Webtop trigger. I was hoping it was simply plugging in an USB on-the-go host adapter cable but that did not work. might be a magnetic reed switch. Might also be some kind of negotiation with the cradle over USB. This test will help me figure it out.

Thanks
David

With no power to the dock, the Atrix does see that it has been plugged in to the dock but only offers the Entertainment Center as an option. With power, the Atrix also offers the Webtop.

So, the trigger for Webtop must inded be coming over the powered USB line.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other tests run and I'll try to do them.

In the manuals for the docks (found on Motorola's site), it states:
Important: This product contains magnets and may damage magnetic information
such as credit card strips and ID cards.
