Docking station

Does anybody know if the razr HD docking station will play sound and video over the micro hdmi cable going into my recievers input. This is how most of my equipment is used thru my reciever. Only on my Pioneer wireless headphones do I have to use an optical cable for the sound.

the razr "hd docking" station isn't for the "razr hd".

There is no dock for the razr hd phone. That answers your question.


Moto was brilliant in naming the first razr's dock the razr hd dock, and then NOT releazing a dock for the razr hd phone! How many people are going to order it and realize it doesn't work?

First clue are that the pins in the dock aren't on the right side of the phone!

Thanks. That's pretty much what I have been finding all over the internet. Ebay has a ton of them for sale but like you said when I contacted the sellers then they realize that they are NOT COMPATABLE!!! Great way to think ahead Motorola!!

While I can't answer your question about output, do know that this dock ( Amazon.com: Motorola HD Dock with Wall Charger for Motorola Smartphones and Tablets - Retail Packaging - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories ) sold by Amazon.com for $28 will fit the Droid Razr Maxx HD - which is being discussed in this forum. The dock isn't perfect, as the phone extends off the left side of the dock by about 1/4" ... but otherwise it's fully functional.

Good find, it appears to be a bionic in the pic, which IIRC uses the same connection/space as the HD.

... it's probably just a pass through, so if it works without the dock, then it should work fine in the dock.
