Oh, I don't mind a message. Look at Star Trek TOS ... practically every episode dealt with social issues of the late '60s, but they pulled it off even with William Shatner.
I really like Jodi Whittaker as the Doctor. She's got the right blend of darkness and quirkiness (And she's cute, too). If I were to give the writers two pieces of advice it would be more adventure, less apocalypse, and stop whipping out the sonic screwdriver and waving it around like a can of Lysol in a men's locker room.
Fair, and I agree. The 'make your own sonic' kinda bugged me too. Like at least repair it and make it your own at least. One of the specials they ran a computation on the sonic using John Hurt (OG) and 10/11 used it since the calculation had been running for 1000 years or something. Now it's like, look at my new shiny and stuff.... 2 seasons in and it still stinks me as a bit off.
But agree with her style, and quirkiness, and the flashes of forebooding leading up to the end of season... (and yes, cute helps. there's interesting clips of her online). Wife loved her in Broadchurch with Tennet.
Yes. (I loved him in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existenz )
Oh he was in Gone in sixty seconds? I vaguley remember that movie.
Yea, he was the villain
