Help Documents to Go, Aldiko, & SD Card

Sorry if this is a duplicate--my original doesn't seem to have posted.

Documents to Go's file browser is recognizing only SD, which is actually internal memory, and not SD-EXT, where my documents are. I've e-mailed them twice with no response; pretty poor support for a $ app. Does anyone know a way to make DTG see SD-EXT?

I have the same problem with Aldiko Reader. They did respond, and said essentially that their app sees the SD card, which is what they intend it to do even though it's internal. Well, gee, why even have an SD card if apps can't see it?

My internal memory is full enough and I want my books and documents on SD-EXT. Can anyone help?

Having the same issue. I've been able to user the file manager to find my docs on my card and open them in dtg. Works but far from ideal.

Speaking of Documents to Go, it would be nice if QuickOffice (which came preloaded on my Bionic) would recognize and open/modify DTG files.

Finally heard back from the folks at Dataviz. They say the device dictates the default location for files, so there's nothing they can do about it looking in SD's internal memory instead of SD-EXT. Well, they could provide file browsing capability the way some other programs do, but I'll grant that would be an added feature. Maybe someday.

In the meantime, I guess I'm stuck with keeping files in internal memory both for this and for Aldiko. If I want to temporarily archive them off to external, I'll have to move them back and forth using my computer. Bummer.

Why use DTG? Because I paid $20 for it, doggone it! ;)

Seriously, I'll have to try QuickOffice more. I bought DTG way back when I first got my OG Droid because I thought I'd need it for more complex things like Powerpoint files. Really haven't used it much, though--it's too unwieldy to do editing in it. As long as I can open my files using QO, maybe it will work.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It appears we get the full version of quickoffice that allows editing which is cool. I think dtg is better overall though.
