I have an android phone which is accessing the internet every 15 minutes between 12.00 and 04.00am every night, taking a few pence each time.
TMobile support confirmed that I do have the internet access disabled in the SIM, but also said that Samsung Apps can still access the internet, and to take it up with Samsung. Samsung deny that, but told me to first disable the 3g support in network connections, then on a second call they told me that was wrong advice, and I should download something called ATM Droid, which is the only way to switch off 3g connectivity.
I guess the result is that some app is taking all my money, and nobody is able to tell me which app, or how to stop it.
Does anyone know which app does this? Does anyone know how to stop it without rendering my phone useless? I would be happy with a wifi connection only if thats necessary.
I found all this by taking a payg account, and getting free texts, then not making any calls. I found that I was losing about 17 pounds a month on nothing. I wonder how many of you are losing the same?
