Does an App exist to do remote to-do or whiteboard?

First time poster here. I'm not all that familiar with Android, but I'm learning. I'm thinking of getting a Kindle Fire for home use, but hope that it might have an app to do one thing. This might not even be possible, but I thought I would ask.

What I'm hoping for is a whiteboard or something like a to-do list maybe where I could "remote" in to the Kindle Fire across the internet, add something to the to-do list or whiteboard, and then have it continuously blink and beep until someone at the house pressed a button to turn it off.

I might be asking for too much here, but again, I just thought I would ask if anyone knows of an app out there that does something like this or similar.

How about putting in something like an email app with repeat notifications, use only one email on that particular app, and just email it when you need to?

That might work, however, I was hoping for something that might not require someone to do anything other than pick up the device and look at it. Having to go in to the app and then open an e-mail isn't really what I was after, but still probably a good workaround if I can't find anything else. Thanks for the suggestion.
