Android Question

I have a local address to access from tablets and phones, say 192.168.0.4, yet any time someone types this address in the address bar in Android it returns a google search result. Is there a way to state that I don't want to search it, just access it?
I also tried having DNS point a subdomain of my main domain to this local address. It works fine on Linux (Ubuntu, Debian), OSX and iOs, but not on Android, which returns... a google search result. (If you are wondering, this must be a local address: these are systems on board boats on the Mekong, and each crew access their own local server through this unified address. With 3G NAT, no way for me to point to the server from abroad.)
Any ideas?
