Does Any App Do This??

Hey Guys,

I'm taking the plunge in about 3 months and getting married. One of the fun activities that I've been trying to do for the wedding is to buy a whole bunch of cheap digital cameras ($10-$15 range) and putting them on the tables for all to partake. Nothing too original there, but I've had some difficulties acquiring such a cheap camera.

Alternative solution, and where you guys can come in.

Everyone has a camera on their phone, and with 2 quick clicks, a photo can be emailed anywhere in the world. I would like to create an email account for all my guests to upload their photos to. Then, to encourage and have fun with those photos, I would like my tablet to grab those photos automatically from the Email Account, and display them in a slideshow. I would put my tablet up on the bar, and as people order drinks they can get a fun view of everything that's going on around them. The geek in me even wants to hook the tablet up to a projector :)

Is there any application that could download a photo from email in a live-update manner and display on a slideshow? Please remember that it has to be automated. I'm told I won't even have a chance to eat the delicious dinner I'm paying for, let alone go play on my tablet :(

Thanks for your help,
Groom-to-be

Any iPhone or Android phone, using Dropbox or Sugarsync with an active data connection, will upload all pictures taken as soon as they are taken. You just need to have them saving to the same folder. However Not so sure about an automatically updating slideshow.

I can't ask my guests to use DropBox. I think the limit of what I can ask my guests to do is send an email of the picture.

Have you tried looking into some sort of rss feed setup?

Very cool idea. Flickr seems to be able to use an RSS feed. I'll need some type of service so that I can Email to an RSS feed. Then lastly, I'll have Flickr Display the RSS feed?

Have to admit that my RSS knowledge is small

Photobucket you can email to your album using an email address but since the site revamp, they haven't put the album album slideshow function back in yet, annoyingly.
