Does anyone elses moto G change the volume by itself?

I'm just curious if anyone else's moto g randomly changes the volume by itself? I'll be playing a game or something and my phone will raise the volume by itslef, it's really annoying.

p.s. I know I shouldnt be posting in this forum, but if I post in the part of the forum for my version of the moto G, I'll never get help since no one posts in the forum. So please keep this in this forum.

Well, I've never had that happen to me, except when I had CM11 on my Moto G. Right now it's stock.

Now as to you posting here, I don't see why you can't post it here, based on what you posted this has nothing to do with rooting or problems associated with having rooted; unless you just didn't tell us you're rooted?

My phones not rooted, but I have the lte version. When I post in this forum they move my threads to the moto g lte forum that nobody posts at, so thats why I said to keep my threads in this forum.

Haves you tried running in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them)? If the problem stops it is caused by an app that you added.

Hold down the power button until the menu pops up, then press and hold the Power Off option on your screen. It will ask if you want to reboot in Safe Mode.

Has this been verified for the Moto G 4G LTE? (I could not find it anywhere when I searched for it.)

Good point. :)

The Moto G LTE manual says:
Turn off your phone, then turn it back on—when you see the “Motorola” logo during power-up, press and hold both volume keys until you see the home screen, with Safe Mode in the lower left.

But both methods work with the regular Moto G, so it's possible both also work with the LTE model.

The reason I asked was that everywhere there are statements about the differences between the Moto G and Mot G 4G LTE. It would be nice to know from a Moto G 4G LTE owner if either or both work.

I thought the only differences between the original and the lte version of the moto g was that the lte version had 4g lte instead of 3g and an sd card slot.

The only apps I have are the flashlight app, transparent weather clock, jackpot slots, big win casino, megapolis, plants vs. zombies, warring empire, benji bananas, hill climb racing, and clash of clans. Would any of those apps be causing the volume going up by itself, and the notification bar not being visible problems?

There are a thousand answers to that question. Reload into safe Mode and see if it goes away. If it does then you will need to find out which app is doping it.

Well, I've had my phone in safe mode since yesterday and it hasn't happened yet. The first few times these two problems happened I thought it was the flashlight app, so I uninstalled it and it still happened. So I have no idea what else would be causing these problems.

I have no idea what is causing it. You need to determine that. Remove likely candidates and see if it stops when not in Safe Mode. Keep going until you find it.

When my phones in safe mode these two problems never happen. While in safe mode I can use every app I have except the flashlight app, facebook, and the transparent weather clock widget. Could one of those be the problem? or could it be the apps that I'm still able to use in safe mode? I'm assuming it's the apps I'm unable to use in safemode?

It is one of the apps you are unable to use in Safe Mode.

If there are only three. Delete them all. Run not in safe mode. Add one back. Run for a while. If no problem add another back. Run for a while. If no problem add another ...

You originally said it happens when you're playing a game. Are the games still installed?

Perhaps you installed an app that you forgot about? Perhaps someone else got hold of your phone and installed an app?

Did you buy the phone new from a carrier? If not it might have something installed that you are not aware of.

The next step would be to do a Factory Data Reset that will remove all apps you added, data, and setting you made. If new from a carrier it will return it to "out of the box" status. Of used or from another source ... the results are not guaranteed.

Yes, the volume still goes up when I'm playing games. I still have all the games I originally listed.

I haven't installed anything then forgot about it and no ones touched my phone except me.

I bought it new from the carrier.

As you already know, im having the volume problem, but I'm also having the status bar not being visible problem.

I missed your game list.

If it was me I would be talking to the carrier about a replacement. The last thing you will do before giving up your phone is a Factory Data Reset. When you do that you might find that your problems are gone. (That happened to me with a screen button problem on the Turbo.)
