Does anyone know how to root the LG Tribute 2 ?

With my LG Tribute, when I couldn't get past the LG screen, I traded e-mails with LG, but they would never even tell me what a repair would cost.

I also would like to know i used kinguser just fine on my tribute 2and changed to supersu. But then i accidentally. Deleted something i shouldnt have and now im stuck in bootloop

I just re rooted my Boost Mobile LG Tribute 2. I used king root before and worked but after re reading a bunch of threads on the net it looks like you would be stuck with the Chinese SU which sucks balls. Also since my last root on the phone it was an VZ3 and now is on VZ4 so old method no longer working. So this is how i did it. I used steps 1-5 on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772. Power phone into download mode then follow the steps on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-stylo/how-to/guide-how-to-root-lgls770-5-1-1-t3184649. Phone might not reboot so pull battery out. It will ask you to update SU binary go ahead and do so and you should be all set.

I have tried EVERY suggestion on this site to root my tribute2 (boost). None of them have worked. The ph still works fine just not rooted.
Surely there is a way to root this dang phone.

The post b4 yours with two links to XDA 2nd one for 6th_Hokage's thread on rooting the stylo.... Thats back from 2015, lp 5.1.1, surely that would brick marshmellow! Posts like that are 2 confusing....

Hi all!

I didnt want to start a new post so I thought I would ask here. Hope thats ok.

So I rooted my VM LG Tribute 2 last night using KingRoot. All is working just fine. :)
I have rooted 2 phones in the past, but I never backed up any files at all. I just went all willy-nilly and uninstalled the bloatware I didnt want. Well, with this phone I would like a backup just in case.
Forgive my ignorance, but what app would I use for this? Back in the day, Titanium Backup was popular. Not sure how it is today. I wont be installing a custom rom or anything, just mostly deleting bloatware.

So, my questions are:
1. What app should I use to back up files that I delete, just in case I should ever revert back from root?
2. Do I really need SuperSu, or is the one from Kingroot ok to use?
3. Is there anything else I should need for my basic root?

Kind of a root newb so apologies for that.

Thanks for any help! :)
...so whats the secret code with KingRoot???
I tried the same KingRoot (have not yet tried KingoRoot?) one click rooting app on MY LG LS665 smartphone...and the result is still an unrooted smartphone!!
