Root does anyone know of a guide on explaining what all the system png images are for

I have found some guides on how to theme but I can't find anything explaining what all the PNG images are for

PNG is a picture format. They're pictures. Since all you gave us is "png", that's all we can tell you.

A guide explaining what PNG images are for what part of the phone system..like status bar background,some of them you can figure out but not all of them,I want to get into theming but I don't know what some of the images are for what,I hope this explains what I'm looking for..and if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it
