Does anyone really use voice activation?

My Galaxy S2 phone came preloaded with 3 voice activation apps Voice Command, Voice Search, and Voice Talk. Just for fun I also downloaded Vlingo.

First if anyone can tell me what the difference between all these apps and which one works better that would be great.
Also between all the mistakes that the voice recognition has does anyone really use it, I find myself constantly having to cancel and re-record which can end up taking longer then just writing it out.

Thanks.

I use Google voice search sometimes, when it works it's quicker than going in to do my search.

Anything that comes on the phone and is in my face I honestly give it one chance. Usually they are the result of trying to hard to be an iphone, which I don't want.

I absolutely hate it when I try to voice dial and it gets my contact wrong and starts placing the call to the wrong person. I wish it confirmed before just dialing

I use voice talk when I am driving, works well. BTW it is powered by vlingo so it is somewhat the same.

I say go for it, not perfect neither is my swipping but good, in fact it is better than my swipping and typing.

I gotta say, i just used Google Voice to search for three different pieces of info on tonight's MNF game, and it worked every time. Kind of impressed and willing to use it more for Google searches now. It even recognized Roethlisberger's name.

I deleted the Samsung stuff and installed Vlingo. I also installed Ivona voices for better text to speech and it works awesome.

Vlingo, VOice to text, while driving, is PRICELESS!!

+1. i use to dictate emails as well although you have to go back and edit for caps and puntuation. it syncs with the bluetooth in my chevy equinox as well so no need to hold the phone once activated.
