Does anyone use Kies?

Last time I had a Samsung phone (Captivate) I remember I didn't like using Kies but don't remember why. I just used the drag and drop method.
What exactly are the advantages of using Kies??

I won't be using it. Tried but it won't move large files (ie, movie files) and it is so freaking slow. I tried transferring ONE album and it took 30mins. Plugged in USB and it took a few minutes. The layout is also a bit odd. I'm sure it can be used for some things, but I won't be attempting file transfer again.
