Root Does barnacle wifi tethering work on this phone?

Just bought an Evo design. So far I've unlocked the bootloader but before I go through the trouble of rooting it I'd like to know if barnacle works and if so does it work for both 3g and 4g?

i have rooted & running 2fast rom infuziion (ics) ....i use barnacle & works just fine 4 me , but i have found all phones are not the same ......... hope this helps ......good luck

Barnacle does work. I'm rooted but as far as I know barnacle doesn't need you to root your device. But be aware, barnacle creates an ad-hoc network. Not every device can connect to ad-hoc networks.

I'm using barnacle on a Samsung transform ultra since boost has successfully crippled foxfi in my area. It was tricky getting it to work on my android tablet but I did it. 3g gets soooo slow by mid day here that I went and bought the 4g phone hoping it would work. Thanks for the replies. Now to root.
