Help Does editing a Google Play review send any messages to the developer?

I have a tendency to edit/save my Google Play reviews multiple times before i am happy with them. At times, I can edit close to around 30+ times in one sitting, just to get a single review right. I'm wondering, does the developer receive any emails or notifications per edit i do? This would be kind of embarrassing.

I ask because I had a conversation with a developer, who had noted that my mail was coming in their mailbox marked as spam, and i have no idea what the cause may be. I wonder if I've ticked someone off.. surely not, I'm not that mean in my reviews..

I have a developer account and I do not receive email notifications on the reviews or their edits.

I can, of course, view the comments in the Play Store just like you can, but can also view and directly reply to you in my Developer Console which, I believe, will cause you to receive an email with my comments.

Oh okay.. good to know :)

When a developer responds to one of my reviews, i get an email from Google Play. The developer's response is not in the email though, i have to click a link within this email which then takes me to the Google Play store, where i can see the developer's response.

Ah, cool--I wasn't exactly sure how that worked! :)

I just know I've gotten emails from folks responding to the reply I left on their Play Store review.

Emailing the dev can be a good way to get your questions answered or your feedback considered--I know I've answered hundreds of emails over the past several years and appreciate all of the questions and feedback that I receive.

Cheers!
