Show real time traffic problems? Wrecks etc.

Google Maps has a layer for traffic but i don't think it will tell you about specific wrecks. Although someone else who has used it more might have a better answer.

I just the voice turn by turn, i never use the traffic option on it.

I use the traffic layer in Google Maps and find it pretty reliable.

ONCE I was able to find a report that stated the reason for the slowdown (3 car accident on right shoulder) but ever since then I've only been able to see the green, yellow and red lines indicating slowing traffic. The location of the slow-downs are surprisingly accurate. I'd love to find that additional information again, though!
