Help Does Flash player work on Orange San Francisco

vfcsubs

Lurker
I have an Orange San Francisco phone rooted and using Froyo 2.2, but I still can't get Flash to install and run on it. I get "cannot play media. You do not have the correct version of the flash player."

Is there any good news on this issue?

Adobe Flash Player works on Android 2.2, but unfortunately the processor on the San Francisco is an ARM6 Processor, Adobe Flash player only works with a device which have ARM7 or higher.

So the answer is.. no good news :(

isn't there some alternative or substitute?

YouTube works. Can't the browser use a substitute plugin?

Hi,

I installed FroYo Japanese Jellyfish RLS9 on my SF and then tried flash but it just caused the default browser to crash. I removed flash and it worked ok after.
I suppose we can't expect too much as the phone is well over a week old... ancient.. probably out of support by now. :)

So we need an ARM6 flash plugin for FroYo 2.2. I will keep looking.
