Google voice itself works. I assume you're referring to the message about using the google voice voicemail instead of the VM voicemail or something like that? (I'm trying to recall the exact message from memory) But whatever message it is, that's normal on Virgin Mobile; you would get the same message if you tried it in stock froyo.

Thanks guys with the info.

I was actually because when I went through the set up it gave me this message

" Unfortunately your network carrier is currently not supported for automatic voicemail configuration. To use Google Voice as your voicemail provider, please visit the Google Voice Help Center for more information"

I received a voicemail but I got it through the regular voicemail. I keep refreshing but I get nothing. That's why i questioned if it worked.

Since voicemail forwarding is not supported by virgin mobile, you will still occasionally get voicemails to your virgin number if your Google voice number fails to redirect back to it's own voicemail. You also need to remember to let it ring until it goes to voicemail. You can hit the volume buttons to silence it, but do not slide the slider to the left or up. These will both send the call to your virgin voicemail as it takes a full thirty seconds for Google voicemail to kick in.
