Help Does it come with a MicroSD card?

Hi,

I just ordered my G2 Touch (Hero); will I need to purchase a MicroSD card seperately or does it come with one? I couldn't see a mention of it on the T-Mobile website.

Yes it does, mine came with a 2Gb sd card

I'm a bit confused though - apps can only be installed onto the phone (512MB?) unless the phone is rooted?

Yes apps are stored on the phones' internal ROM ... rooted phones with apps2sd can store and run apps from the SDCard ...

Ah thanks, I thought so, just the space on the ROM seemed a bit small...

Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer to find out now anyway as I've had an email to say that they're out of stock !

It comes with one but it's fairly useless. Class 2 2GB, and the Hero/G2 suffers because of it. The second I switched to an 8GB Class 6 it's been a dream, my Hero is as quick as the promo videos

I got my g2 touch on upgrade in a tmobile store, when i was leaving i asked if they sold micro sd cards as i wanted one larger than 2gb.. he went round the back and got me an 8gb class 6 card... for free!!!
