Help Does it have Camera 'Image Quality' or not?

AJW1100

Newbie
Tried taking some pics on my Galaxy Ace 2, not pleased with the results and they seem to be of a very poor quality. Checked the manual under 'Customise Camera Settings' - 'Options' near the bottom it shows;
Metering
Auto Contrast
Blink Detection
Guide lines
Image Quality
GPS Tag
Storage
Reset.

My camera settings shows all the above except Image Quality !!! is this option removed or somewhere else?
My cheapy old Nokia took great pics and you could zoom as well.......

Any thoughts?

Image quality settings are there. Just look for the little gear icon button then scroll down the menu into you find it.

As for zooming, you'll gain that ability when/if you upgrade to Jelly Bean.

Sorry, not on my Ace 2!

Under the gearwheel icon there is no Image Quality shortcut. Scene,flash, focus mode etc, but no way to change quality. Pity.

The default camera app DOES have the image quality option and it's also set to superfine by default. Scroll down the options list.

The only reason I could think of you not having the same stock camera app is if you're running a custom ROM or your device is counterfeit. :s

:rolleyes::( Found it!

The menu on the phone is not as shown in the manual so I did not even try to scroll on the gearwheel menu. Then when I did try I must have failed to scroll properly.
Anyway a bit of playing found the menu as you correctly advised.
My apologies, I will put it down to being an OAP and more used to phone boxes using 4d and buttons A and B !!!

Thanks for your help
