Root Does rooting the phone locks it to AT&T carrier

I have unlocked HTC aria 2.1... I wanted to root my device so I wanted to ask whether rooting the phone will lock it back to AT&T...thanks in advance

No, rooting your phone will not affect the SIM unlock status of your phone. Even if it did, you simply would need to re-enter your unlock code again.
