Does smartphone use interface depend only on OS number?

Hello!

I want to upgrade from my HTC desire Z to a newer Android smartphone.

Now I don't like the user interface of my wife's Moto G phone which runs Android 4.4.4.

But my question is: is user interface identical for all phones running Android 4.4.4 OS or it depends on the phone?

Where can I find screenshots of user interface of different phones?

It depends on the phone. You'd have to look it up on case-by-case. HTC and Samsung run some of the more heavily modified OS's.
