Does the Barcode Scanner info only has US products?

When I scanned items it just say the code but when I try to use product and google search it has no other info. With US products it shows it, so does it only apply to US distributed products?

I'm sure it's down to the barcode scanning app itself. If it only has a database for US distributed products, then that's all you'll get. On the other hand I've found Google Goggles to be very good at scanning and recognising products distributed here in Mainland China, e.g. instant noodles, washing detergent, cigarettes, beer cans, etc.
