Does the Defy uses Qualcomm Baseband?

Hi! My name is Don and I hope you guys can help me :)

I work in the telecom industry and my line of work requires me to use QXDM (QUALCOMM eXtensible Diagnostic Monitor) and QPST to diagnose phone signals, layer messages etc. I have been wanting to try out the Motorola Defy with QXDM but I can't find the information that will give me the confidence to go to management and ask them to buy me a bunch of Defys (or is it Defies?)

1. I understand that the Defy uses a TI processor but I'm not sure if the radio chipset it uses is a Qualcomm one. I have seen some Motorola teardown and it seems like they almost always use Qualcomm basebands. However, I can't find a Defy teardown that mentions this

2. Phones sometimes require a special driver or access to diagnostics mode before it can be connected to QXDM, do Motorola phones allow you to do this? Have anyone tried?

I will be very grateful if someone is kind enough to shed lights on this, I have been buying random phones with the hope that it will work with QXDM for a while and the boss looks reluctant to give me the money until I'm sure

Thank you
