Does the original HTC One X have LTE on ATT?

Hi folks. I'm trying to maybe purchase a used HTC One X phone and I'm having a hard time figuring out two things:

1. If the original HTC One X on ATT supports LTE.....I see there is an HTC One X LTE model as well so does that mean the first version doesn't support LTE?

2. What's the major differences in the One X, XL, and XL +?

In the traditional sense of how HTC intended it...
  • The One X shipped with a Tegra 3 processor, and did NOT have LTE support
  • The One XL shipped with a snapdragon S4 processor, and DID have LTE support
  • (if I remember correctly) the One X+ shipped with a Tegra 3 processor (with a faster clock speed than the original One X) and DID have LTE support
However, AT&T messed things up by demanding that they call their (actually XL) just the X. So that is why people get confused and call some a HOX with LTE (which basically means it's the XL, unless it's the X+, which supports LTE)

In fact, you can even see the confusion in my sidebar :P
 
Here's the main differences -

The One X - Quad Core, 1.5GHz Tegra 3 Processor, 32GB Storage & No LTE.
The One XL - Dual Core, 1.5GHz SnapDragon S4, 16GB Storage, LTE Radios
The One X+ - Quad Core, 1.7GHz Tegra 3, 64GB Storage - LTE Radios (according to here. I didn't know it had LTE TBH).

Thank you both for your input. That's really confusing but I understand. I'm really surprised that a flagship device like the original One X didn't have LTE. I'm kind of spoiled wit LTE now so I guess i'll be looking for the cheaper of the 2 others. IF you know anywhere good to pick up a used one, other than eBay which i'll be checking out. Let me know. Or I could do a straight up trade for my Xperia TL. Thanks!
 
When it was released originally, there was no way of getting the LTE radios to work with the Tegra chipset, which is why they released 2 variants. Confusing and annoying I know, but look at Samsung who generally have about 4 or 5 different versions of their flagship :p.

Storage issues aside, I'd probably take the Snapdragon Dual Core over the Tegra 3 version anyway. If you're not using the phone for gaming etc, the S4 performs much better than the Tegra variant. :)

Interesting so you're saying the dual core Snap is faster than the quad core Tegra?
 
For day to day stuff, yeah, it would generally perform better than the Tegra 3 version. I think it's better on battery too.

I know one of the other mods has the EVO 4g LTE (the Sprint version, using the same S4 processor), and he gets 7 hours screen on time out of one charge on his.
 
Everything I have heard is that the dual core performs better in battery life than the tegra 3, even with the dual core having the power hungry lte radios

And yes it's supposed to be faster in daily use as well. Mine just flies

I suppose it depends on what side of the "pond" you're on. I have the original AT&T One X purchased in the US, and it does indeed support LTE. The newer One X+ from AT&T has the Tegra 3 processor and 64GB memory, and still supports LTE.
