Does the Rezound lag a lot?

I've read reviews but I just want to know, does the rezound actually lag a lot? And could a launcher fix this if it does?

Welcome to the forums. Let me move this to the rezound sub forums so you can get input from the actual owners.

I have zero lag on my Rezound even when downloading apps from the market and surfing the web. I am using Launcher Pro + with more than 10 widgets loaded. I used Sense for about a day and it seemed pretty smooth to me as well but I love LPP+. I even loaded SPB Shell 3D and it ran smoothly as well.

My Rezound is stock. I've never noticed any lag. In fact, I find it extremely snappy.
I came from an Incredible which was not slow but the Rezound runs circles around it.
Best of luck if you decide to get one.

The rezound is very snappy in my opinion. I haven't found much to really complain about on this device.

I have to ditto the other folks. There's enough power and RAM in it to run ICS ROMS with Sense 3.6, 3rd party launcher apps, or any combo you want with zero lag. I terms of processing power. it's equal to any phone on Verizon now and probably in the near future and the display has yet to be surpassed.

I have just switched to the rezound from the razr and I have to say I have not noticed any lag. The phone seems really fast and smooth to me.

Previous phones for me were the OG Droid and the DX. This phone blows both of them out of the water.

Very snappy and zero lag. I haven't had any problems with the phone since I purchased it in February.

Planning on rooting and romming very soon to remove the bloat, etc. Should only improve performance.

Maybe my phone is jacked up. When I am using an app and hit the home button,I usually get the HTC screen followed by a loading screen.

There is definitely something wrong with your phone. If you are stock, do a factory reset and start from scratch. If it's still behaving like this, return it and get another device. I have NEVER had an issue like this or any sort of lag whatsoever. I'm unlocked (now locked again), S-OFF, rooted and running Clean Rom 4.5 and I don't have any problems at all (and no bloat) but when I was stock for a few weeks, I had the exact same experience - no issues. None. Coming from an OG Droid and then a DX, it's been a pleasure (and I loved my OG, but it's time had come and gone).

If anyone is experiencing any issues, it's either a problem with the device or a rogue app that's causing a problem.

I also have this problem. It most consistently does this when I am on this weather page:
NWS radar image loop of Composite Reflectivity from Sterling, VA

One HUGE lag issue I have is this, and I'd be interested in others timing theirs to see how it compares.
From a home screen, long press to get the Personalize screen. Time how long it takes from pressing the "App" to when the app list appears. I just timed it and it took a solid 7 seconds. If I do it a second time, it'll pop up immediately.

What do other people experience?

Edit: I'm completely stock.

I just timed it - 2 seconds

I get this sometimes if it's been quite a few days since I reboot the phone. I try to remember to reboot it before bed about twice a week.

You're running low on RAM. When it resets, it is trying to kill memory hogs in favor of your current activity. Sense, especially with widgets constantly running, can really tap your RAM when you start doing crazy stuff. So it resets Sense, not your phone. Viewing weather radar from a full blown web page will do that... Download Wunderground and get rid of a few widgets. You'll be fine. I had the same exact problem for a while.

yeah.... just reboot it once in a while and it'll be AOK.

The Rezound is plenty fast enough. The old SUN Sparc, Integraph and DEC Alpha workstations at one time weren't even this fast and they can't run on batteries!! 1/2 :D uh oh never mind cancel what i just said. bye.
