Does the Verizon N2 come with headphones?

Dug into my box these weekend. Nothing. Shocked. Every phone I've bought in the past 5 years has come with headphones.

Just want to double check before I go marching into the VZW store demanding headphones :)

I think out of all the carriers, Sprint was the only one to provide headphones. Yes headphones are not expensive but that's not the point. It seems silly not to include something that probably doesn't cost the company much.

It does seem silly! I mean they are already charging $100 over the iPhone 5 16Gb, you would think it would be enough to cover the $5-$10 (guessing) headphones!

Probably more like a $1 at their cost....

Weaksauce. Even my S3 came with headphones that had a mic for the phone.

They're generally not great quality, but at least you know they work. There are some compatibility issues with with the mic and some of these h phones so it's just easier if you start out with what's issued as you'll know it functions properly. Down the road you can upgrade.

$700 phone. No headphones. Dumb....

I like having a lot of backup headphones for gym use. I don't really want to spend a ton on sweat resistant headphones when I can just use the ones that come with the many phones I buy. :D

I don't usually use headphones but wanted to try out the set that came with my sprint G2, no headphones in the box. I wonder if they were left out of the box when the phone was activated in the store..... bummer.

A couple questions :

1) How is the quality of the headphone sound for people that have used them with headphones? I'm not worried about the speakerphone quality from the external speaker.

2) I have a pair of iPhone earbuds with a mic, will those work with the note 2?

Nope, they sure don't! Apparently it was a way for them to cut down the cost for us.
Interesting.

$300 on contract - $700 off. What cost was cut down by not providing a headset?
I've gotten headsets with every samsung phone/tablet I've ever bought. I couldn't imagine opening the box and their not there.

Wonder at what level of corporate the decision was made to exclude them. I seriously doubt this was a Samsung decision.

2) I have a pair of iPhone earbuds with a mic, will those work with the note 2?

I tried out my brother's iPhone 5 earpods on my Note II. The sound quality is really for earbuds and much improved over the older iPhone earbuds. The volume buttons doesn't work with Note II though. The pause/skip button works.

I think the reality is that most people use some better earbuds, even if they only cost a few bucks. Manufacturers have caught on and are probably backing away from including them considering it's less cost and not really in demand.

One less thing to throw away.

I thought the Sprint N2 came with headphones? If that is true then wouldn't it be more of a carrier issue then Samsung?

Well I just called the Sprint store where I got my note2 from and they said they do not include headphones. interesting......

They did. One on left are the ones that came with. Right are the ones that came with my E4GT.

My Tmo version includes headphones but I haven't even taken the headphomes put the box, wrapper is still one them. I'll leave them in there so when I sell my Note 2 to buy the 3 it improves the value.

That just means known of them even have this phone cause if they did they wouldn't have told you that lie.

Out of curiosity and my apologies if I missed it but since you already have the Sprint Note 2, didn't yours come with earphones? Just wondering why you'd have to call them to inquire about something you already received.

The headphones don't make the resale value any higher since they literally don't cost much to begin with.

Not only do the Sprint ones come with headphones, but the guy who sold it to me at the store suggested I use the built-in mic to make calls since I wouldn't want to be seen holding the phone to my face.

Well, the joke's on him because I LOVE holding big electronic devices to my face!

My US Cellular version came with headphones. Though I will say they are pretty bad. They are the kind that have the right side ear piece cord about 32 feet long and the left side cord is about 6 inches so you look like a clown wearing them.
The sound quality is only slightly better than those white earphones you get from Apple. (Not the new earpods, those sound strangely good for being non sealing and free, not as good as the ole Klipsch S4 though)
The ones that came with my phone do create a seal in your ear and come with abunch of silicone ear pieces incase you have infant ears or gorilla ears.
If you didn't get them don't be too sad, your not missing much.

mine didn't come with head phones, I had thought that maybe I left them out of the box when the phone was activated. so I called them and said "hey is it possible my head phones were left out when the phone was activated and you were showing me some of the features" the guy said he didnt think they came with headphones but he would open another box and check. he came back and said nope they don't come with head phones. if you got some with yours and other sprint users did as well I guess I need to contact sprint.

Can someone confirm that the sound quality with quality earbuds is good, bad, etc.?

Just wondering what kind of sound processor is in the note 2 - I have some Sony earbuds I use with my current iPhone 4 that sound quite good, (probably due to the iPhone sound processor) but am wondering if the note 2's hardware is anywhere near comparable.

I agree. One less thing to toss in the garbage. Those $2 headphones that come with phones usually sound as good as 2 paper cups tied with kite string.

If they did supply them, we'd hear complaint after complaint about the cheap headphones :)
