Does "this" AIM use data or text?

[oxyg3n520]

Hi, I would like to know if this following link to the aim application uses data or text. And IF it uses data, does it continue to use data when I'm connected on aim even if I'm not aiming anyone? Thanks!

AIM - Chat with all your Buddies & Facebook friends

that would use data. And as long as you are signed into the aim app, it will continue to use data in the background. It wont use a LOT of data when nobody is chatting with you, but it still uses some.
