On my old Samsung SGH-E730 i have this handy clock that's always on on the little oled screen on the front.
I like it when i can read the time in the dark at night.
Does such app exist for android?

I wish i had a clock on my screen of my Samsung Galaxy S when i am not using my phone.

What's stopping you from simply turning on your device and reading the time on the lock screen?

Any app you use to display a clock on the black sleep screen is going to use battery because the screen technically isn't sleeping. I know the app noled offers a clock but i think it only displays once you get the text or email.

You can also try an app called off clock.

OP, you could always use Alarm Clock Plus (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vp.alarmClockPlusDock&feature=search_result). It's got a feature that, when it's plugged into the wall during certain hours such as 10pm to 6am, it shows an alarm clock style screen.
