Root Does This ROM Look Like Something You Guys Would Want????

Hey guys, so after what happened with Savoxis, I decided to try an get more development in the meantime. I have recruited Apollo Star to come join the darkside :)

He is going to port this over as well as doing some other projects for us. By the way gave me a time frame of 1-2 weeks for having this ported over after receiving a device! :)

Just kicked in my donation. BTW, I like the Unitology ROM's overall look, just a little too red for my taste; a little too Verizony. Now if it were available in ICS Blue...
 
Yea, I don't like the red. ICS blue would be much better. Or even a grayish look would be cool. Looking forward to seeing your work though.
 
Why don't we stick with the devs already supported? In case no one has been paying attention, even veteran devs can't get roms ported/working on this phone, other than those that are stock based. It seems silly to donate to another Dev and be given targets of 2 week porting when experienced lg Devs can't do it in 2 months.

I'd much rather see work on ICS roms when its released and AOSP or cm9/cm10 developed for this device. Just my thoughts.

then don't donate it's as simple as that. lol by me recruiting other devs it has nothing to do with how I feel about the devs we do have as I appreciate all of their efforts. it's funny you bring this up cause I was talking to playful god about this earlier. btw I was the one who brought d2a on board and along with imucarmen get pg here, so its not like I dont have faith in their abilities. I mean the way I see it, d2a and pg are working on cm9 so why not have someone else working on something different to increase the variety of romage we have? IMO I don't get why your making a post like this. im not trying to sound like a dick Mr b but get as much development for a phone which needs more of it.
 
Well if and when you get ics i will make unitology on that i will make both a red and blue version and mrb im sorry if your devs are unable to do this but i can assure you my ROM has come a long way from what it used to be i am not demanding you guys to donate you can do it at your own leisure if you guys don't want unitology or any of the things i develop please let me know as i will refund your money and continue to help out the warp community that aside i hope you all choose to help because it can and will be a hell of a ride :D
 
Also for your guys blue version (yes i will make the blue version solely for you guys) i will make it an ics blue and a light grey let me know your thoughts on that and if you guys really want it i will also inform you unitology isnt all about the look theres a lot of work done under the hood it has no lags faster 3g very stable and super speedy and 0 bloatware and i plan on doing the same for you guys so again please let me know what you guys think and please feel free to ask questions i don't bite :D

I just asked a simple question. None of the devs can get roms working on this device and they've released lg roms before, so why would we keep donating to new devs when the ones we have aren't able to crack it?

I meant no disrespect, but it makes more sense for devs to team up, like on other phones, than to keep bringing in solo devs. Maybe if this phone could get roms and kangs to boot, solo devs would make sense, but on all the other phones I've owned, the only time issues like this were cracked was when seasoned devs teamed up.

You and others seem to think ICS is going to be a Godsend and roms will magically work.... And to that end, I truly hope that happens. Until then, it makes sense to pool minds and resources to get this device dev'd, Imo.
 
welcome aboard! I think it is excellent that we have more devs on this phone. I am strapped for cash or I would throw in something.

Oh okay I get what were saying in your last post, my bad if i sounded rude. The dev's ie D2A and PG are working together to get cm9 going so to an extent that is taking place but are stuck trying to build CM from source as D2A stated. Savoxis WAS planning and working with D2A on a different project as well. I dont know what other experience Apollo has, but I'm sure if he can help out another project he'd be more than willing to do so.

I do think ICS is going to allow for more development, and maybe I'm being naive, but considering it was coming from the dev's themselves, I will trust what they are saying as they know way more than I.
 
I agree with MrB. I get the fact that the dev's need donated devices, cool cool, more brain power, all for it. Admn, since you are the one mostly contacting the dev's, is it possible to set up a "meeting" and maybe brain storm some ideas of working together to get a great ROM and progress going (After ICS release)? With all the dev's working together, I'm sure you guys could make some bad ass CM9ish roms.... Just a thought, not meant to come off as a personal things or the such.

I'd be all for that as well but the ultimate decision lies in the devs hands but I'd be more than willing to gauge interest in setting up a project like that.
 
Okay i see you guys have a couple stock based ROMs from what I've seen your also recieving ICS officially therefore making ics ROMs will be as simple as making stock ROMs the device i have will never see ics officially and cm9 is still a ways off i however do not have the resources yet to tackle cm9 in about a week i will however be working on cm9 on my device i will help you guys out to the best of my ability and i am NOT just offering you guys a plethora of ROMs but mods also and ports so please have some faith :D it'll go a long way
